Allegis Global Solutions’ Sara Babin, Cat Halliwell and Sarah Wong Named to SIA’s Global Power 150 – Women in Staffing List for 2020

SIA Global 150
Hanover, Md., November 19, 2020 – Allegis Global Solutions (AGS), a leading provider of global talent acquisition and workforce solutions, celebrates Sara Babin, Cat Halliwell and Sarah Wong, who were named to the Staffing Industry Analysts’ (SIA) Global Power 150 – Women in Staffing list for 2020. All three leaders have made a unique contribution to the industry, fostering inclusivity and growth opportunities for AGS’ people and propelling the company’s ability to deliver first-class workforce solutions expertise to customers worldwide.

“I’m so excited to see this group of dynamic leaders recognized on such a global platform,” said AGS’ President Chad Lane. “Sara, Cat and Sarah exemplify the character, leadership and capability traits everyone should strive to attain. Their recognition by SIA further cements them as leaders who are advancing AGS’ success while leaving a legacy and model for those who will shape our future. I commend these leaders for their contributions and vision to advance our industry.”

Among the achievements that led to each leader’s recognition on the Global Power 150 list are as follows:

Through fostering an engaged, empowered workforce, Sara Babin is known as an innovative and inclusive people leader. As Global Executive Director of Human Resources (HR) at AGS, Babin drives people strategy and stakeholder partnership, which includes human capital management, talent development, talent management, HR analytics, employee experience, and inclusion and diversity, across EMEA, North America, APAC and India. Babin possesses over 20 years of progressive HR, finance and legal expertise that provides a unique viewpoint to the HR function. Babin’s key initiatives have included implementing a robust and equitable total rewards program, introducing a recognition and rewards platform, enhancing well-being and inclusion and diversity initiatives, and, most recently, quickly mobilizing a remote work and return to work strategy for her global workforce. She is passionate about driving innovation and best practices while enhancing the employee experience across all aspects of life at AGS.

Cat Halliwell has been in her current role as AGS’ executive director of operations since 2016, and has played an instrumental part in the EMEA region’s growth and development. Over the last two years, Halliwell has overseen 39 geographical expansions for clients in the region. Her drive to support clients in their talent strategies is relentless, as is her focus on the professional development of her team. Halliwell has injected a positive culture, and her leadership has seen 79 promotions since 2018. Halliwell started the EMEA CSR Council and ran it very successfully for three years, supporting charities such as Macmillan, CLIC Sargent and Alzheimer’s Society. She is also heavily invested in I&D and has served as the executive sponsor for three employee resource groups, focusing on LGTBQ+ communities, parents and carers, and embracing cultural diversity.

As vice president of the APAC region at AGS, Sarah Wong is responsible for building and growing the recruitment process outsourcing (RPO) and managed service provider business in the region. Wong has over 25 years of experience developing and managing meaningful recruitment solutions, and 20 years of experience in RPO. She has delivered several high-quality, large-scale talent solutions and fronted Operations of many global organizations, such as Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley and HSBC. When COVID-19 first hit, Wong was one of the industry pioneers to embrace a fully flexible, virtual workforce in China. With her support, the China team achieved all business goals in February and March, when the lockdown was at its most intense. She continues to inspire teams across APAC and India as different countries continue their respective lockdowns. Under her leadership, the APAC team still achieved its goals and client commitments in H1 2020.

“The Global Power 150 – Women in Staffing 2020 are redefining leadership in their decisions, their compassion and their service to their teams and communities, said Subadhra Sriram, Editor & Publisher, Media Products at SIA in the association’s press release. “In a year rife with disruption and with ripple effects disproportionally impacting women and communities of color, this year’s honorees are steadfast in their commitments to diversity and to building resilient and inclusive organizations as they take their businesses, and the ecosystem, forward.”
